Euro 2008 Soccer Qualification games

Euro 2008 Soccer Qualification games. European Championship 2008 (Austria-Switzerland). The euro football qualifying games on Wednesday 15 November 2006. Ecobika sports betting soccer picks tips all the soccer games in all the groups. The last matches in this year int he Euro 2008 campaign. Ecobika soccer predictions:

Group A:
Finland v Armenia. If bankerbets are existing, this one is a home banker click here to bet.
Portugal v Kazakhstan. All the same as above, without any comment, bet Portugal to win.
Belgium v Poland. This will be a dogfight and hard to predict. Poland maybe going for the draw. Seems that UNDER 2.5 goals a good bet, Belgium all goalaverage is 1/game.
Group B, C:
No games.
Group D:
Republic of Ireland v San Marino. Well, Ireland is just one step ahead San Marino, but this is a must win game, whatever slim the chance remaining for Ireland to qualify, home win.
Cyprus v Germany. A victory for the German team would mean perfect record so far (4 wins) and they will go for it, not too much risk to predict and bet away win click here for Ballack & Co.
Group E:
Macedonia v Russia. The situation is very complex in this group, after Macedonia made draw in England, all the teams on 1-5 have chance to qualify ont he 1-2 places at the end. But neither Macedonia, nor Russia can afford to lose this game, Maybe the draw is beautiful with these great odds, and would make the situation more complex...
Israel v Croatia. Certainly the momentum is with Croatia, after the big victory at home aginst very weak England (and very weak coach of England), but Israel has not lost yet. Hard to predict, maybe many goals and OVER 2.5 goals with these big odds.
Group F, G:
No games.

Ronaldinho - World's Greatest Soccer Player

Ronaldinho is one of the world?s greatest soccer players. You probably have seen his Nike commercial where it shows him as a young boy, and also shows him at his present age. It shows him kicking the ball up in the air and making defenders look like fools, and then at the very end he rolls the ball in with his head. The amazing thing about this commercial is that it is not much of an embellishment of the skills that he possesses. I have seen matches when he displays some of these same skills, and makes the defenders look just as bad.

Ronaldinho grew up in a poor village in Brazil. His father died when he was only 8 years old, and his family remained poor until his brother Roberto signed to play professional soccer. Ronaldinho first gained notoriety when he was 13, and scored 23 goals against a local team. Even though, Ronaldinho is the world?s greatest soccer player, he is still very humble. His humility makes he very appealing to me, because I do not like cocky players. Some reporters recently commented that he was the greatest soccer player in the world, and he told them he did not even think he was the best player in Barcelona. He has also been asked what he does with all of his money, and he says that he gives it to his mother. The reporters then asked if she was managing it for him, and he said no it is her money. He has also been quoted as saying that even if he was not paid any money, he would still play just the same. In 2005, he was the highest paid soccer player in the world, at $29.5 million, including salaries and merchandising. His image is worth an estimated $60.3 million, which is the most valuable in the world. Ronaldinho is associated with many brands throughout the world, but Nike is probably the most well known of the brands.

The Ultimate Soccer Experience For Greeks

During the 2004 summer, my home country, Greece had the privilege to be the protagonist in two extremely important and prestigious events in the nation's sports history; the EURO 2004 Soccer Championship and the 2004 Olympic Games. In the EURO 2004 Soccer Championship, the National Soccer Team of Greece gained the title as the new European Soccer Championship and by hosting successfully the 2004 Olympic Games, has proven to the world that it can surpass even the wildest expectations of its critics.

When Theodoros Zagorakis, the Greek national soccer team captain, lifted the Cup of the EURO 2004 Championship, every Greek, all over the world, felt proud to belong to this nation. It is difficult to describe the overwhelming feeling everyone felt that night when the Greek soccer team managed to defeat the national Portuguese soccer team in their homeland, at the national stadium in Lisbon, with a single goal. That hot summer evening, every Greek, man or woman, child or elder, was viewing the most anticipated game in the Greek sports history. The strong heartbeat everyone felt that night was one of the most important moments in every Greek's life.

Soccer is still the beloved sport of Greece and with this unexpected result soccer has managed to overcome social obstacles of age, politics and gender, shaping a new game identity. Nothing similar has ever happened to Greeks. Nothing as powerful, as that single scream of joy, has ever in the contemporary Greek sports history, united so dynamically this nation. For days after this accomplishment, Greeks were still unable to believe the outcome of their national soccer team's efforts and everyone felt the need to celebrate again and again their enormous success. For many critics, extremely important, if not more than the players' efforts, was the presence of Mr. Otto Rehhagel, the German coach of the Greek national soccer team, who managed to become the most familiar and friendly face in the Greek public surpassing the fame and status of all of his Greek soccer colleagues. His management style, his personality and his persistence, became a new national anthem for Greeks, who have made his profile the modern icon for an ancient Greek god.

In this particular meaningful sport event, every Greek felt like their support was projected in the field and their presence felt by the players, influencing every result in the series of the games played, reaching its peak during the final. From the known myths of sports, the 12th man was the classic illusion that promoted the spectators' wishing, screaming and cheering. The eleven contemporary heroes of the Greek national soccer team extended Greece's political culture to its undiscovered limits and cultivated the publics' belief in the 'hidden star-quality' that could illuminate once again everyone's life, as long as opportunity evolves and timing is right. These eleven stars, won a distinct place in the hearts of every Greek, transforming themselves to role models, resembling to the fame and prestige of ancient warriors. From the battlefields of this European Soccer Championship, this team's perseverance, effort and consistency, played the most crucial role in the turnout. Thus, the Greeks will value every minute of those athletes' accomplishment, in many years to come.

Soccer Goal Keeping Accessories

The main accessories for safe goal keeping in soccer games consist of helmet, gloves, elbow and knee pads, mouth, ankle and shin guards. Goalies also have apparels tailored to suit their preference.

Colorful jerseys are available for $20. Goalie shorts range from $13 to $20 depending on the brand and the material used. Padded compression shorts for both men and women are priced at around $30. Knicker pants, Long pants and Full trainer pants can also be obtained within a price range of $30 to $40.

There is tremendous choice with respect to the gloves. Sondico Pro Player made from German Latex and having Elastic with Velcro closure is probably the most reasonably priced at $10. Gloves with super soft palm foam marketed by Adidas, Lanzera Livorno and are a little over $100. For proper maintenance of the gloves, bags and gloves wash solution form an integral part of the gloves accessories.

Shin guards range from $6 to $35. The shin guards along with their accessories consisting of athletic, medical tape are important safety aids.

Footwear for the goalkeeper depends on the firmness of the ground. Nike, Adidas and Kelme Master specialize in customized footwear for hard ground. These provide maximum speed, stability and ball control. Along with these companies, footwear from Puma, Diadora and Umbro X300 cater to games on soft ground.

Goals of various sizes form the most important part of training sessions. These include futsal and indoor goals as well as lightweight and pop-up goals. 6 foot pop-up goals and the portable, adjustable, folding goals are most convenient for a game anywhere.

One of the best methods for keepers to increase the strength in their forearms and fingers is the use of hand grip gels. Originally developed for mountain climbers these are fast becoming popular among aspiring goal keepers. Not only are they great stress-busters, the soft hand grip gels are also terrific finger and hand strengtheners.

There is a wide variety of books and videos available elucidating the various strategies involved in goal keeping. Who wouldn?t want to watch a DVD of ?202 Great Saves? for just under $27? The breath taking maneuvers are quite possible to effect in a field game. All it takes is to meticulously follow the drills and exercises specified in the training software designed for beginners and intermediates. The Soccer GoalKeeper ? a set of 3 tapes for $71 lists out a series of exercises exclusively for goal keepers to increase their fitness level as well as master the technique of goal keeping!

Soccer Is About More Than Just Playing The Game: It?s About Using The Right Equipment

Before a soccer player is even allowed to step out onto the soccer field, the referee does his standard check of each player to insure that he or she is wearing all of the necessary soccer gear. Shin Guards, socks, cleats, uniforms tucked in, no jewelry, and so forth. Along with the necessary gear among each of the players, the teams also need a soccer ball, a net, goalkeeper equipment, soccer bags, practice jerseys, flags, cones, etc.

One of the most important parts of purchasing any type of sporting gear is to make sure that the equipment fits the player correctly, in order for it to protect the way that it is intended. For example, soccer shin guards should cover the shins up to just below the knee, with the soccer socks covering the entire shin guard.

There are many different brands that carry soccer gear, so a little research and background knowledge of each company will aid in the selection of the best soccer gear for each individual player. Many of the most well known sporting and shoe companies make their own soccer gear. Nike?, Adidas?, Puma?, Umbro?, Lotto?, and Franklin? are just a few of the leading manufacturers in soccer gear. One of the first thoughts in many consumers? heads when it comes to buying anything is where they can get the best deal. That is okay, but it?s important to remember that quality should outlast low cost, and quality made soccer gear will keep the players safe, and playing their best.

When searching for a deal on soccer gear, comparing products to one another will give the consumer a better idea of what it is that they are paying for. Looking at the materials used to make the equipment, how it fits, durability, if the gear will withstand washing, and whether or not the soccer player could actually play soccer with ease while using that particular gear, are all important factors to pay attention to.

Beginners, and those who are not as familiar with the game of soccer, may not realize that there really is much to the game than a ball and a net. Other forms of soccer gear such as shin guards, cleats, uniforms, practice equipment, and so forth are just as important to the game of soccer as simply having the required ten players on each team, a ball and a net.

Betting Highlights, soccer betting situation winner football picks

Betting Highlights on tricky bets of the day and the valuebets on Sunday 7 of May. Released by sportbetting guru ecobika.

Weekend soccer gambling bonanza part 3. Yesterday ecobika gave you winner football picks again! Especially -> Mainz's victory vs. Schalke was fine. Very simple betting situation in soccer Serie A Italy preultimo round. 2 rounds to go yet, including this one. Fiorentina (v Reggina), Roma (v Treviso), and Milan (in Parma) are in must win situations. Ecobika would suggest to play all these games in -> football accumulator, or combo if you like -> Fiorentina, Roma, Milan. Roma and Fiorentina are in fight for the 4th, yet Champions League spot. Most likely Juventus will win the Scudetto and hard to imagine that Palermo takes this game seriously, the players are on vacation, at least your heads and feets. (Last round: Palermo v Roma 4-4, what a funny result it was.) Only one more game is interesting: Internazionale v Siena. Siena need one point to survive for sure, keep an eye on upsetting ,,fall apart" Internazionale, whose 3rd spot is 99.9% sure. The rest: Messina should win, but then should win in the last round too and hope Siena not to make a point, therefore not adviced to bet Messina v Empoli.

Big excitement in the Premiership. Both the second and fourth places are not sure yet. West Ham v Tottenham, the Hammers made enough upset -> West Ham to win AH 0:0. This bet is winner, if West Ham wins, and loser, if Spurs wins, moneyback on draw. Certainly, the draw could mean that Tottenham losing the Champions League spot, because Arsenal in more than explosive form and Wigan will not play for anything (?). The candidates for the second place are MU and Liverpool. Manchester United has 1 point advantage. Ecobika thinking about NO UPSETs -> MU and Liverpool to win. The remaining matches will be played, you can count as many upsets, as you can.

Not easy to calculate the chances in Bundesliga2, where the preultimo round (round before the last round) is taking place. Crossing ways: Offenbach v Cottbus, the home side needs some points not to be relegated, the away side to be promoted. UPSETs -> Cottbus to win. If Cottbus not able to win, F?rth with a win v Rostock, could jump as close, as possible to Cottbus! Oddsmakers think about F?rth and Dynamo Dresden v Ahlen as sure home wins, but do not forget that -> Dresden should win both the remaining games to survive.

Also preultimo round in Primera Division. Barcelona already won the title, but the second place is open yet. Ecobika thinks that Real Madrid is hungry enough to win -> against very disappointed Villarreal.. Very hard to say anything about the relegation, the candidates are too close to call. -> Maybe Alaves makes upset in Zaragoza. In theory big matchup Racing Santander v Osasuna, the home side is fighting against relegation, meanwhile Osasuna can end 3rd, or, without luck, on the 5th spot! I think that Santander needs the points.

European Basketball betting. My friends, ecobika has bad news: on Thursday Bamberg was able to loose by 11 points after led by 15 in halftime. This means that my favorite league, Basketball Bundesliga is also about big bettingmoney...Certainly, now the top favorites play at home and will -> not play upsets, of course...But ecobika do not waste money on German Bundesliga playoff anymore. But matches across Europe, check gamebookers' odds, you'll find the correct odds.

Tennis betting, and as generally, ecobika's advice: do -> bet on the favorites.

The all time goldmine betting source, the AFL Australian Football League season in the 6th round already. gamebookers offer very good odds on Carlton v Collingwood -> Collingwood to win. Start: 06.10 CET! Also seems banker in AFL: Kangaroos.

The MLB baseball season started a few weeks ago and most of the MLB moneylines are good bets, if you play simple the favorites with gamebookers' odds!

However, the ball is round, good luck with your soccer picks. Bet with confidence, bet with gamebookers ecobika do the same. sportbetting guru

World Cup Soccer: Football that unites the world.

In every sporting event one can invariably find a player, a team, a nation, poised to become the next memorable story - a story that will survive the test of time and go down in history. The FIFA World Cup is unique, in that, every country can qualify. It is the only tournament that can unite the world with its common passion for the sport. It is a tournament where everyone celebrates, dances, and rejoices in the streets of their capitals, exulting in the spectacular feats of their players, their teams and their nation. But what makes the World Cup particularly extraordinary is the national pride that it inspires, especially for the first time qualifiers. Since the first tentative World Cup in Uruguay in 1930, World Cup history was not only about the winner or winning the title, but about the stories. World Cup history resonates with the back-stories that echo through time - of players, teams and nations that surprised the world by achieving the unexpected. From the poignant moments of the underdogs and the worlds Cinderella teams, to the birth of legends and the brilliance of the football giants - the World Cup brings joy to every nation. It is about the stories of players, teams and nations taking it to the highest levels; the stories about emotions and pride that unites the world.

At 2006 FIFA World Cup, we welcome the heavy favorites - from the European continent and all the way to the South American continent. For these giants, winning is everything. In their spirit is held the promise of thrilling showdowns, individual feats of brilliance and the majestic harmony in motion of a team united in its quest for the world's most coveted prize in football. Will the European contenders - Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, France, and England have the firepower to overcome the South American power forces from Brazil and Argentina, or will the world be dancing to the samba beat again this year?

What about the other European contenders, the lesser known South American teams, or the North American and Central American zone teams? Or better yet, the Australians? Let's not overlook the African continent! Will the trophy finally make its first trip south of the Mediterranean Sea? For that matter, even the Asian continent and their desire to bring Asian football to new international acclaim should be considered.

At the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, we hope to see these underdogs, long shots, and Cinderella teams. There is always something special about the underdogs for winning is not everything to them. Simply by qualifying to walk onto the world stage, they have realized their goals and sparked the hopes of their nation. Armed with this impossible hope, win or lose, they are there to defend their national pride, and valiantly defend it they will, sometimes to the very chagrin and amazement of disbelieving onlookers.

As football fans across all continents count down to the opening day of 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, BetUS Sportsbook has launched its 2006 World Cup betting portal for soccer betting enthusiasts around the world. What a day it shall be, June 9th 2006! What a month it shall be, until the truth will set us all free on July 9th 2006! The whole world will be looking to Germany from June to July, watching history in the making. There will be sorrow, there will be joy. There will be dreams crushed, there will be dreams made. There will be silence in the streets, there will be rejoicing and dancing in the streets. After all, this is the World Cup, the tournament of tournaments. So may the best national team win!

Brazilian men's national soccer team dominance takes a new complexion

Brazilian dominance in soccer takes a new complexion. There used to be a time when the Brazilian men's national soccer team were of average size and build. They were small (shorter), fast and skillful. Diminutive in stature but this did not apply to their technical and tactical abilities.

The team might appear to line up in some formal positional formation and set up. Once the game starts it is an all positions for everybody on the team. They seem to play a 1 (goalkeeper) -10 (field) as all the players are in constant motion and are able to play off of each other at any time. The team members do however have certain defensive responsibilities and are accountable for their respective areas.
They truely understand "the game" and are ready to be spontaneous as well as volatile.
The Brazilian team seems to make the opponents play catch up and defensively throughout most of the contest.
A goal scoring opportunity can come from any where and any one on the field and at any time.
The only thing that you can predict is that the goalkeeper will not leave the 18 yard box to act as a forward and score some goals.

Ronaldinho has just acquired his second FIFA international player of the year award in a row. Does he deserve it? Most definitely.
He is a pleasure to observe as he sets up most of his team mates to lead his current team FC Barcelona to the top of the Spanish "La Liga".

Now add the goalkeeper Dida who has been a major part of his team's successes, in the back and Adriano up front who has seemed to be totally unstoppable goal scoring machine on the forward line for the Italian "Serie A", Roberto Carlos on the left where he still has a command on the free kicks, and Ronaldo the task master who often and still shows flashes of brilliance in the mix and you have a fortress of power and abilities few can match.

I think the ball got rolling with the the introduction of Junior Biano as a defenseman in 1998. With the exception of France his presence was a dominant deterant for other teams.
The latest big man to join him is Lucio

Brazil found mass to be a compliment to all their other strengths. It would appear that they have continued to build from there. The average weight of their national team has increased without diminishing their agility and manouverability. Although not a necessity, muscle mass has been a factor in other team sports. This might be true in modern Futbol as speed has become an over-riding factor to the game in the last 15 years. Most of the elite players are also playing in the Italian and Spanish premier leagues and on similar if not the same teams. They are learning from each other by being rivals and combats as well as compatriots.

Here are the possible candidates for the next world cup roster for Brazil.

Goalkeepers:

DIDA, J?LIO C?SAR, Defenders:

CAFU, CICINHO, EDM?LSON, GILBERTO Melo, JUAN, L?CIO, ROBERTO CARLOS da Silva, Jos? V?tor ROQUE J?NIOR,

Midfielders:

EMERSON Ferreira, GILBERTO Silva, JUNINHO Pernambucano, KAKA', RENATO, Z? ROBERTO,

Forwards:

ADRIANO, J?lio BAPTISTA, Ricardo OLIVEIRA, ROBINHO, RONALDO, RONALDINHO Ga?cho

A team can only be as good as it is a team and is coached as a team.
A team can only be good if all the members play for the team and with the team.
It does NOT matter how many stars you have and how big the egos or the payroll is either. Win as a team and lose as a team.
